Travel to Hudson
Flying into Albany
Albany International Airport (ALB) is just about an hour’s drive from Hudson. Once you land, take a car and enjoy an easy, scenic ride down the Hudson Valley.
Traveling from NYC
Want to travel from NYC? Fly into JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark, then you have two options: car or train. Booking a car is about a 2.5 ride and can cost anywhere from $300-500. For a budget friendly option, take the Amtrak to Hudson! Trains depart from the Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station. From there, hop on the train headed to Albany-Rensselaer. The Hudson stop is roughly 2 hours north— and yes, the ride along the river is stunning! Trains run often, but prices rise as seats fill, so the earlier you book, the better the deal. See below for more details & tips for taking the train!
The train station is about a mile from the hotels, and the walk up Warren Street is a charming one. That said, you may want to schedule to have a car pick you up from the train station. Hudson is a very small town and you won’t be able to flag down a cab, and Uber/Lyft is not always guaranteed.

Tips for taking AMTRAK
If you’re taking the Amtrak from New York City, here are a few tips to make your trip as smooth as possible:
Book early. Amtrak prices increase as trains fill, so try to buy your ticket at least a week in advance for the best rate.
Departure from NYC: Trains leave from Moynihan Train Hall (corner of 8th Ave & 31st St). Track numbers post about 15 minutes before departure. You’ll typically take Train 241 to Albany, which often departs from Tracks 5/6. People begin lining up about 30 minutes ahead, so if you see a line forming, that’s likely your train—just confirm with staff.
Boarding: Conductors will guide you to the correct car for Hudson (usually one of the cars further down the platform).
Arrival: The Hudson station is about a mile from the recommended hotels— an approximately 20-minute walk. Depending on weather, you can enjoy a charming walk up Warren Street or I would recommend scheduling a car in advance since taxis and Ubers can be limited.
